Vault data is processed locally. Backups leave your device only when you export or share them. Website visits are separate from the app’s local data processing.
1. About this policy
This policy explains how Unlinked Vault, an offline password manager for iPhone and iPad, handles information, and how this product website differs from the app.
2. Information in your password book
The app stores the records you enter, including names, passwords, account details, websites, notes, and categories, in encrypted local storage. You do not need to create an online account. The app does not upload your vault to a developer-operated server, provide cloud synchronization, or include advertising or analytics SDKs.
Encryption keys and related access information use the system Keychain. You can use the app without a master PIN, or enable a six-digit master PIN in Settings. Device security and access to your unlocked device still matter.
3. Backups and imports
Exporting a backup is an action you initiate. The app encrypts the exported file with the backup password you choose and lets you select where to save or share it through the system interface. Records in the recycle bin are excluded from exports.
The storage or sharing provider you select may process the file and associated information under its own terms and privacy policy. Those copies remain where you save or share them until you remove them.
When you import a selected file, the app verifies and decrypts it locally using the password you enter. Changing your master PIN does not change the passwords of files already exported. The developer cannot recover a forgotten PIN or decrypt your backup for you.
The app’s vault files are marked as excluded from automatic system backups. Keep a separate exported backup if you need to recover your records after uninstalling the app or losing your device.
4. Copying a password
When you tap Copy, the app places the selected password on the local device clipboard with a 30-second expiration. After you paste or another app reads it, that app’s copy is outside this app’s control. Do not paste passwords into untrusted apps or websites.
5. Keeping and deleting records
You can edit records, move them to the recycle bin, restore them, or permanently delete them. Records left in the recycle bin for 30 days are removed the next time the vault is opened or unlocked. You can permanently delete them earlier.
Removing the app removes its local app storage, subject to the operating system’s behavior. It does not remove files you exported or information you pasted elsewhere. System Keychain items are managed separately by the operating system. Permanent deletion is not a promise of forensic erasure from all device or storage media.
6. This website
This website contains static product and policy pages. It does not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, contact forms, or third-party web fonts. Unlike the offline app, visiting this website requires an internet connection.
The website’s hosting and delivery services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, and access times to deliver and secure the site. Hosting access controls may also use essential authentication or security cookies.
7. Apple and other services
Apple handles App Store distribution and may process store, diagnostic, or app usage information according to its policies and your settings. The developer may receive reports Apple makes available under those settings. This is separate from the app’s local vault. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
8. Your choices and rights
You control the information entered into your vault, whether to enable a master PIN, whether to export a backup, and when to delete local records. Because vault data is not sent to the developer, the developer cannot retrieve or delete that local content remotely.
Nothing in this policy limits rights provided by applicable law.

Policy changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
